Savannah Honey Beekeeping Limited has been recognised as the Leading Beekeeping Enterprise of the Year 2026, cementing its position as one of Kenya’s most impactful players in modern apiculture and sustainable agribusiness.

The prestigious recognition was awarded by Dependable Brands Africa during a ceremony held at Sarit Centre, Nairobi, where the organisation celebrated the 100 Most Dependable Brands in Kenya.

The award highlights Savannah Honey Africa’s growing contribution to transforming beekeeping into a profitable and sustainable livelihood opportunity for Kenyans through training, equipment supply, apiary management, and market support.

The recognition comes as Savannah Honey continues to expand its mission of empowering individuals, youth groups, women’s groups, and communities through modern beekeeping solutions.

The company has set an ambitious target of reaching 100,000 beneficiaries through its microfinance and enterprise development programme, which provides aspiring beekeepers with the tools needed to establish successful apiaries.

Speaking after the recognition, Savannah Honey Africa Chief Executive Officer Kyalo Mutua said the company’s vision goes beyond supplying beekeeping equipment.

He added that the organisation focuses on creating complete beekeeping ecosystems by combining financing, skills development, equipment supply, and reliable markets for bee products.

Savannah Honey has already supported thousands of Kenyans to venture into beekeeping, with the company reporting that more than 3,000 groups and 10,000 individuals have benefited from its programmes.
